Prof. Dr. Arzu Babayiğit

Prof. Dr. Arzu Babayiğit was born on May 22, 1976, in Girne, Northern Cyprus. She completed her primary and secondary education in the TRNC. After graduating at the top of her class from 19 Mayıs College, she was admitted to the Faculty of Medicine at Ege University in 1993. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and began her residency in Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine at Dokuz Eylül University. Babayiğit became a specialist in Pediatrics in 2003. Between 2004 and 2010, he completed a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Allergy, Pulmonology, and Immunology at Dokuz Eylül University, and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2010. Between 2010 and 2013, he worked in the Departments of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Istanbul Bakırköy Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital.

In 2013, Babayiğit returned to his beloved homeland, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and began working at Near East University Hospital. He was promoted to professor in 2015. His expertise in allergy was recognized by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) in 2018, and he was awarded the title of “European Pediatric Allergist.” Until October 17, 2025, she served as a Pediatric Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Specialist and a Pediatrician at the Suat Günsel University Hospital in Girne and the Near East University Hospital. Since October 18, 2025, she has continued to see patients at his own clinic in Girne (Medexperts Clinic) as a specialist in pediatric health and diseases, allergy, asthma, and immunology.
